8. Hinges
Four, powerful hinges are fitted as standard to withstand both tensile
and excessive pressure forces. They have been endurance tested to
175,000 cycles and are strong enough to carry 80kg per hinge.
9. 28mm double-glazing
The Premier T70 window holds 28mm double-glazing units offering a generous 20mm
air-gap to improve thermal and noise insulation as well as combating condensation.
10. Handles
The attractive, aluminium handles operate and engage the locking system.
The Premier T70 handle is available with lever/lever or lever/pad (teardrop) designs.
11. Letterplates
The Premier T70 door features slimline letterplates. The flap opens to a full 170 degrees and includes a draught-proof brush
12. Galvanised steel reinforcement
In areas deemed necessary, Premier T70 doors are reinforced with galvanised steel, including both sides of the outer frame.
Furthermore, all locking keeps are screwed into reinforcement. As well as giving extra strength in load-bearing situations,
the steel reinforcement stops any expansion or contraction problems that may otherwise occur in the future.
All Premier T70 woodgrain products come fully reinforced as standard.
13. Corrosion resistant fixings
As with all hardware on the Premier T70 door, even the fixings are guaranteed against corrosion for a full 10 years.
The screws are tested for 500 hours in a salt spray chamber to ensure their quality. This is seven times longer than
the requirements for BS 7412 - the British Standard for PVCu construction.
14. Weatherproof gaskets
The seal surrounding the frame and double-glazing offers excellent weatherability
as well as good sightlines, reducing the 'black-line' effect.
